Black Copper Marans
Black Copper Marans are a showy breed with large bodies, black and copper feathers, tall single combs, reddish/bay eyes, and feathered legs. Their calm dispositions make them easy to handle and are an ideal dual purpose homesteading chicken. They make an excellent choice for a free range flock cock (rooster). They do well in free range environments and are a cold hardy breed, though their combs may be susceptible to extremely low temperatures.
